BAKERSFIELD, CA (October 1, 2025) – Tuesday morning, a horrific single-vehicle crash on Highway 99 near Panama Lane killed one person.

The incident occurred at approximately 3:14 a.m. on Highway 99, near Panama Lane.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a northbound white 2019 Hyundai Elantra veered off the roadway, struck a rod iron fence, and struck two trees.

Moreover, responders pronounced a male passenger of the vehicle dead at the scene.
