Police Investigate Six-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 25 in Colorado springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (December 11, 2025) — Police investigate a chain-reaction crash on Interstate 25 involving six vehicles early Friday morning near Garden of the Gods Road and Fillmore Street.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), the incident began when two vehicles collided, triggering a multi-vehicle pile-up that ultimately involved four additional cars. 

Emergency crews responded quickly, working to secure the scene and assist drivers.

Initial reports from CSPD indicate that, fortunately, no major injuries were sustained in the crash. 

Nonetheless, the collision caused significant delays, with traffic completely halted for a period of time.

By 7:15 a.m., some lanes had reopened, though authorities continued to advise drivers to avoid the area due to residual congestion. 

Tow trucks completed vehicle removal by 7:57 a.m., and all lanes were fully reopened shortly thereafter.

Officials have not released the exact cause of the initial collision, and investigations are ongoing. 

Motorists are reminded to exercise caution, particularly during high-traffic hours or in areas with reduced visibility or poor road conditions.
