Abilene Resident Skyler Fowler Dead in Butternut Street Collision [Abilene, TX]

Abilene, TX (June 18, 2025) – Skyler Fowler, 20, of Abilene, was killed in a Butternut Street collision Monday night.

The fatal traffic crash happened around 10:00 p.m. at the intersection of S Treadaway Boulevard. 

Investigators said a Honda GL 500 motorcycle was traveling south on Treadaway B lvd when it crashed onto a northbound Dodge pickup as it turned onto Butternut Street.

The motorcyclist, Skyler Fowler, was rushed to a hospital, where he was later declared deceased. 

Fowler’s passenger, a 20-year-old woman sustained life-threatening injuries and was also hospitalized.

Moreover, the driver and the passenger in the pickup truck sustained minor injuries.

APD said Fowler was wearing a helmet, though is unclear if the passenger was.

Investigators said speed and lighting may have contributed to the fatal collision..
