Fire crews responded around 1:08 p.m. and arrived within minutes to find the aircraft engulfed in flames in a field north of Battle Ground. They quickly extinguished the fire, preventing it from spreading to nearby trees and structures.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office secured the crash site and is working with the FAA and NTSB to investigate the cause. Officials have not confirmed how many people were on board or released the victims’ identities.
