Frightening Solo-Car Crash on Highway 162 Injures 3 People [Covelo, CA]

Covelo, CA (November 15, 2025) — Three people were taken to the hospital on Wednesday afternoon after a horrific single-vehicle crash on Highway 162.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported around 12:35 p.m. near mile marker 23.4.

Responders found a Honda Accord roughly 60 to 80 feet below the roadside. All occupants had made it out of the vehicle by the time help arrived.

Fire crews and CAL FIRE assisted at the scene. CHP confirmed that three people were transported for medical evaluation, though the extent of their injuries has not yet been released.
