One Killed, One Injured in Single-Vehicle Crash on State Route 128 Near Calistoga
Calistoga, CA (July 20, 2026) — One person died, and another suffered injuries following a single-vehicle crash on SR-128 north of Calistoga.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened on State Route 128 near Tubbs Lane when a Jeep left the roadway for reasons that remain under investigation. Authorities said the driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle, suffering fatal injuries.
The passenger, who was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, sustained injuries and was transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Investigators continue to examine the cause of the fatal collision.
