Song Srun of Long Beach Dies in East Plymouth Street Pedestrian Accident [Long Beach, CA]

Long Beach, CA (May 17, 2022) – On Saturday, at about 9:45 a.m., Song Srun, 91, of Long Beach, sustained injuries in an East Plymouth Street pedestrian accident.

The paramedics immediately responded to the scene in the 1600 block area and took Song Srun to a hospital where the victim died Sunday.

“The preliminary investigation revealed a female adult driver was backing out of her driveway when she struck the pedestrian who was walking across her driveway as she was backing out,” the investigating officers say.

Moreover, the driver has a valid driver’s license and stayed on the scene. She cooperated with the officers’ investigation.

“At this time, neither speed, distracted driving nor impairment are believed to be factored in the collision,” the authorities say.
