Police Investigate Fatal Crash on U.S. 61 in Pike County
Pike County, MO (April 9, 2026) – A St. Louis man died early Thursday morning after a crash on U.S. 61 involving a semi-truck, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash happened at 4:44 a.m. on U.S. 61, north of Pike 305.
According to the crash report, the 26-year-old man entered the path of a 2026 Freightliner Cascadia 116 semi-truck. The truck driver skidded to a stop but still struck him.
Emergency responders took the man to Pike County Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
