Injuries Reported in Orcutt Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 135 near Shirley Lane

ORCUTT, CA (April 26, 2026) – Saturday night, a startling 3-vehicle crash on Highway 135 near Shirley Lane sent 3 people to the hospital.

The incident involving three vehicles happened at about 7:42 p.m. on Highway 135 near Shirley Lane, according to Santa Barbara County Fire Department spokesperson Karen Cruz-Orduña.

Emergency crews responded to the southbound side of the highway between Shirley Lane and East Foster Road, where a three-vehicle crash involving two sedans and a pickup truck was reported, according to Cruz-Orduña.

One occupant in the first sedan had to be extricated. Reports confirmed that the people from that vehicle and one person from the second sedan were taken to the hospital by ground ambulance. The pickup driver declined medical treatment.

The crash led to a temporary closure of the southbound lanes, which reopened before 9 p.m.

The Santa Barbara County Fire Department said no further details were immediately available.
