Injuries Reported in Victorville Traffic Crash on Seventh Avenue and Nisqualli Road

VICTORVILLE, CA (February 25, 2026) – Monday afternoon, a deputy was hospitalized after a startling auto accident on Seventh Avenue and Nisqualli Road.

The incident involving a Victorville Police Department patrol vehicle occurred at about 3:10 p.m. on Seventh Avenue and Nisqualli Road.

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Jenny L. Smith outlined the sequence of events, saying a patrol unit struck a Honda before the force of the impact pushed both vehicles into a third vehicle, a red 2008 Ford Ranger pickup.

“The Sheriff’s unit collided with the Honda, and when that collision occurred, they were pushed into the red truck,” Smith said.

The Honda sustained significant front-end damage consistent with the initial impact. Several other drivers stopped after the crash but were not involved. They provided statements to investigators and were later allowed to leave.

Witnesses said the deputy was seen sitting on a curb near the damaged patrol unit while being treated by first responders before being taken away in an ambulance.

The deputy and one other person from an involved vehicle were transported to a local hospital for evaluation. The extent of their injuries has not been released.

Authorities closed the intersection and surrounding roadways near Seventh Avenue and Nisqualli Road during the investigation. Drivers were advised to use alternate routes and expect delays.
