Injuries Reported in Seattle Bicycle Accident on Aurora Avenue North and Roy Street

SEATTLE, WA (April 21, 2026) – Monday morning, a startling bicycle crash on Aurora Avenue North and Roy Street.

The incident involving a vehicle and two cyclists happened just before 4:20 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Aurora Avenue North and Roy Street.

According to the Seattle Police Department, two people riding a Lime bike were crossing the street when they were hit by a vehicle.

The Seattle Fire Department said the riders — a 30-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man — were taken to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition. Investigators noted the pair was unfamiliar with the area.

Officers found the Lime bike lodged underneath a white truck driven by a 69-year-old man. Police said there were no signs of impairment, and the driver was released at the scene.

All lanes were reopened before 7 a.m.
