Injuries Reported in Spokane Bicycle Accident on North Division Street

SPOKANE, WA (September 23, 2026) – Monday, Dustin Crowell was arrested in a startling bicycle crash on North Division Street.

The incident involving a bicyclist happened on North Division Street and Mission.

A witness told police that a black Ram truck pulled alongside her vehicle, cut her off and then turned left onto Mission, where it struck the cyclist. The cyclist was taken to a hospital with injuries to the head and left hand.

Police said five children were inside the truck at the time of the crash, leading to the additional reckless endangerment charges.

According to police, the driver, Dustin Crowell, admitted he had consumed six to 10 drinks within two hours before driving.

Officers also reported signs of impairment, a blood alcohol concentration of 0.20 and an alcohol container inside the vehicle.

During a court hearing, the children’s mother and grandmother spoke on Crowell’s behalf, saying he had been sober for years and was turning his life around.

The court initially set Crowell’s bond at $50,000 but later reduced it to $25,000 and required an ignition interlock device. His arraignment was scheduled for September 24.
