Injuries Reported in Stockton Auto Accident on State Route 99 and Acampo Road

STOCKTON, CA (July 19, 2026) – Early Saturday morning, a startling big rig crash on State Route 99 and Acampo Road injured 2 people.

The incident a 17-year-old driver and a big rig hauling strawberries that shut down northbound State Route 99 south of Acampo Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a Nissan struck a guardrail before veering into a big rig, sending the truck off the roadway and causing it to overturn back onto the highway.

The big rig driver sustained major but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital. The juvenile driver of the Nissan suffered minor injuries and was released to a guardian.

CHP said alcohol and drugs are not suspected as factors in the crash.

All lanes reopened by 10:59 a.m. Saturday.
