1 Arrested in Startling Hit-and-Run Crash in Redding

1 Person in Custody in Redding Auto Accident

REDDING, CA (December 17, 2025) – Saturday night, officers arrested one person after a startling hit-and-run crash in Redding.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction struck another vehicle and then fled the scene without stopping to provide aid.

Moreover, officers managed to locate and arrest the hit-and-run driver for driving under the influence and felony hit and run. Also, officers confirmed that an AR-style rifle and a shotgun were found inside the suspect’s vehicle.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued investigating the crash.
