HOUSTON, TX (February 22, 2026) – Saturday morning, Deputy Lewis was injured in a startling hit-and-run crash on Interstate 10 near Eldridge Parkway.

The incident happened at around 3:40 a.m. on Interstate 10 near Eldridge Parkway.

According to reports, a vehicle struck an off-duty FBCSO deputy, then fled the scene without stopping to provide aid.

Moreover, responders rushed the victim, identified as off-duty Fort Bend County Sheriff’s deputy Lewis, to a nearby hospital with critical injuries.
