Injuries Reported in Austin Motorcycle Crash on N Interstate 35 near La Posada Drive

AUSTIN, TX (May 26, 2024) – Saturday morning, a startling motorcycle accident on N Interstate 35 near La Posada Drive injured 2 people.

The crash occurred at about 4:00 a.m. in the 5600 block of N Interstate 35 northbound, near La Posada Drive.

Initially responding to a HERO call to assist a driver involved in a single-vehicle crash, the situation escalated when another crash occurred. As a result, the motorcycle ended up underneath a car.

Austin-Travis County EMS reported that medics had to perform a rescue operation to free someone trapped in the vehicles. Two individuals were transported to Dell Seton Medical Center; one person sustained life-threatening injuries, while the other is expected to recover.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
