AMARILLO, TX (March 11, 2026) – Tuesday, a person was hospitalized after a startling motorcycle crash on Hillside Road and Bell Street.

The incident happened on Hillside Road and Bell Street.

Police said a motorcycle was traveling west in the turn lane while an SUV was exiting a private drive and heading southbound.

Authorities said the SUV attempted to turn east onto Hillside but did not yield the right of way, leading to the crash.

The motorcycle rider, a 59-year-old man who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

The SUV driver was not injured.
