SAN DIEGO, CA (April 26, 2026) – Saturday morning, a startling motorcycle crash on Interstate 8 near Waring Road led to injuries.

The motorcycle incident occurred on the westbound Interstate 8 near Waring Road.

According to a SigAlert from the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred shortly before 9:35 a.m. just east of Waring Road.

Early reports indicated a motorcyclist was down in the fast lane after a crash involving multiple vehicles, though the exact number of vehicles has not been confirmed. Authorities said several cars had stopped in the lanes, with bystanders gathering around the rider. A second motorcyclist was also reported to be stopped nearby.

Emergency crews responded to the scene, but the extent of the rider’s injuries has not been released.

Caltrans reported at 9:52 a.m. that three lanes were blocked. By 10:21 a.m., CHP said all lanes had reopened.
