Injuries Reported in Citrus Heights Pedestrian Accident on Auburn Boulevard and Greenback Lane

CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (November 26, 2023) – Friday night, an 11-year-old boy suffered injuries in a startling pedestrian crash on Auburn Boulevard and Greenback Lane.

The incident happened about 9:00 p.m. when the boy was in a crosswalk but was “crossing illegally.” Then, he was struck by a truck on Auburn Boulevard and Greenback Lane.

After the crash, the driver remained at the scene and has been cooperative in the investigation.

Afterward, responders took the boy to the hospital in critical condition but police say his vitals were “stable.”

Meanwhile, the authorities do not suspect DUI was a factor in the accident.
