Injuries Reported in Fresno Pedestrian Accident on Maddy Drive and Divisadero Street

FRESNO, CA (October 23, 2023) – Saturday night, a startling pedestrian crash on Maddy Drive and Divisadero Street injured 1 person.

The crash occurred just before 10:00 p.m. on Maddy Drive and Divisadero Street.

According to Lt. Zeb Price, a white van driving north on Maddy Drive tried to turn left to go west on Divisadero Street. However, as the driver turned, the pedestrian crossed the street from north to south and he was hit.

After receiving aid from nurses, responders took the pedestrian to the hospital in critical condition.

Meanwhile, the driver stayed at the scene and was cooperative.

Also, the authorities do not suspect alcohol or drugs as factors in the crash. Moreover, officers said that the pedestrian was in the crosswalk at the time of the crash.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
