Injuries Reported in San Francisco Auto Accident on Geary Boulevard and St Joseph’s Avenue

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (February 22, 2026) – Friday morning, a startling police pursuit crash on Geary Boulevard and St Joseph’s Avenue sent 1 person to the hospital.

The incident happened just after 7:20 a.m. on Geary Boulevard and St Joseph’s Avenue.

Officers with the San Francisco Police Department were patrolling near the edge of the city’s Anza Vista neighborhood when they spotted a reported stolen vehicle, according to a department statement.

Police attempted to stop the car, but the driver did not yield and led officers on a pursuit.

During the chase, the patrol vehicle collided with an uninvolved car in the 2700 block of Pine Street. Authorities then lost sight of the suspect vehicle near the intersection of Pine and Divisadero streets.

The two officers and the other driver were evaluated at the scene. The civilian driver was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police later located the stolen vehicle unoccupied in Oakland. No arrests have been made in connection with the theft or the pursuit.
