1 Dead in Chatsworth Auto Accident on 118 Freeway and Topanga Canyon Boulevard
CHATSWORTH, CA (September 15, 2026) – Monday morning, a person died, and 2 were injured in a startling rollover crash on 118 Freeway.
The incident happened at 1:27 a.m. on the westbound 118 Freeway and Topanga Canyon Boulevard, said the Los Angeles Fire Department.
First responders arrived to find one of the vehicles overturned. Three people were evaluated by medical crews, but one victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The California Highway Patrol began closing lanes west of Topanga Canyon Boulevard on the freeway as crews responded to the crash.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area while temporary closures remained in effect.
