2 People Hospitalized in San Luis Obispo County Auto Accident on Highway 58 near Kern County

SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, CA (May 7, 2025) – Wednesday morning, a startling single-vehicle crash on Highway 58 near Kern County injured two people.

The incident happened at around 12:30 a.m. on Highway 58, just east of the San Luis Obispo/Kern County line.

According to reports, a passenger vehicle crashed down a 50 to 60-foot embankment and came to rest on its roof.

Moreover, KCFD extricated two occupants of the vehicle who were trapped inside the wreckage. Then, paramedics transported the two patients to a local hospital with minor to moderate injuries.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified. 

Due to limited information, the authorities continued investigating the crash.
