KANSAS CITY, MO (February 9, 2026) – Sunday morning, a startling single-vehicle crash on Interstate 35 near Interstate 70 injured three people.

The incident happened at around 4:30 a.m. on Interstate 35 near Interstate 70.

According to reports, a southbound teal Nissan Altima traveling at a high rate of speed lost control, drove off the roadway, and struck a concrete support for the overhead highway signs.

Moreover, responders transported the driver of the Nissan with non-life-threatening injuries, a juvenile with serious injuries, and another juvenile with life-threatening injuries to a hospital for treatment.

Furthermore, officers believe that impairment played a role in the crash.
