COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (July 9, 2026) – Wednesday morning, a person was hospitalized after a startling traffic crash on Powers Boulevard and Barnes Road.

The incident happened when a traffic crash left one person trapped in a car under a semi-trailer on southbound Powers Boulevard, north of Barnes Road.

The Colorado Springs Fire Department responded to the scene.

By 10:30 a.m., a person was extricated and was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
