Injuries Reported in Pasadena Auto Accident on Foothill Freeway near Rosemead Boulevard

PASADENA, CA (June 1, 2026) – Sunday morning, a startling vehicle crash on Foothill Freeway near Rosemead Boulevard injured 2 people.

The crash occurred at approximately 2:27 a.m. when a Jeep left the westbound Foothill Freeway and fell about 50 feet below the highway near the Metro A Line tracks.

According to Lisa Derderian, chief communications officer for the City of Pasadena, emergency crews were dispatched to the area between Rosemead Boulevard and Allen Avenue.

Firefighters and paramedics arrived to find the Jeep resting on its side. The California Highway Patrol reported two victims who were unconscious and unresponsive, with one trapped beneath the vehicle.

Both occupants were eventually extricated and transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
