LOS ANGELES, CA (December 25, 2025) – Tuesday night, a startling vehicle crash on Newhall Ranch Road and Rye Canyon Road injured 1 person.

The incident happened at 9:13 p.m. near the intersection of Newhall Ranch Road and Rye Canyon Road.

At least one person was extricated from a vehicle and transported to a hospital.

Fire Department Capt. David Dantic said first responders were dispatched at 9:13 p.m. and arrived to find at least one person trapped inside a vehicle, prompting crews to request an additional ambulance. The individual was extricated at 9:27 p.m. and transported for medical care about four minutes later.

Dantic said it was still unclear how many vehicles were involved in the collision or if there were additional injuries or medical transports. Authorities remained on scene as of approximately 9:30 p.m. as the investigation continued.
