3 People Hurt in Houston Auto Accident on Interstate 10 near Lockwood Drive

HOUSTON, TX (June 22, 2026) – Sunday morning, a disastrous SUV crash on Interstate 10 near Lockwood Drive injured three people.

The incident happened at around 2:17 a.m. on Interstate 10 (East Freeway) between Waco Street and Lockwood Drive.

According to reports, a blue Ford SUV traveling at a high rate of speed, lost control, launched over an embankment, landed and collided with another vehicle.

Moreover, responders transported the driver of the SUV to a hospital with critical injuries. Then, paramedics transported two occupants of the other vehicle to a hospital in stable condition.

Furthermore, officers believe that speed played a role in the crash.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
