Pedestrian Dies in SR 7 Hit-and-Run Crash

Spanaway, WA (April 7, 2022) – On Thursday, a 22-year-old Tacoma man was fatally struck on State Route 7.

The collision happened before 1 a.m. south of the Roy Y wherein two vehicles struck the victim.

The Washington State Patrol says that two southbound cars were approaching Field Road East when the first vehicle struck the pedestrian. The driver of the first vehicle pulled over on the right shoulder.

Then, a second vehicle also struck the victim. The driver did not stop and continued southbound.

Officers are investigating this fatal incident.
