Tamara Brown Hurt in Deadly Head-On Collision on Highway 108/120 [Oakdale, CA]

Oakdale, CA (September 13, 2026) — Tamara Brown was injured, while Katherine Duncan died Thursday night in a fiery head-on crash on Highway 108/120 east of Oakdale.

The California Highway Patrol reported the collision around 8:30 p.m. near Lancaster Road.

Investigators said 52-year-old Duncan of Modesto was driving a westbound 2017 Honda sedan when it crossed the double yellow lines and collided with an eastbound 2020 Ford pickup.

The Honda caught fire after the impact, and Duncan could not escape the vehicle. She died at the scene.

The pickup driver, Brown of Jamestown, wore a seatbelt and suffered minor injuries.

CHP continues to investigate whether Duncan was wearing a seatbelt and whether drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash. The collision temporarily closed the highway as emergency crews responded.
