48-Year-Old Vista Woman Fatally Injured on SR 78 Near Emerald Drive Bridge

 
VISTA, CA (February 10, 2018) – A fatal pedestrian accident was reported by the California Highway Patrol on State Route 78 near Emerald Drive bridge, around 8:30 PM on Saturday night.
 
The county Medical Examiner’s Office said that Tara Norine Johnson, 48, was struck by a car traveling west on SR 78. The driver stopped and called authorities and cooperated with officials, according to CHP Officer Mark Latulippe.
 
When emergency responders arrived at the scene of the crash, they pronounced the victim dead without any medical intervention. No other injuries or damages were reported in this fatal accident.
