Motorcyclist Teaguen King Injured in S Loop 289 Collision [Lubbock, TX]

Lubbock, TX (March 27, 2026) – 18-year-old Teaguen King and two others were injured following a S Loop 289 collision Wednesday night.

It was before 9 p.m. when the 2-motorcycle crash happened on the eastbound lanes of the highway.

Responding officers said another motorcyclist, 26-year-old Kristopher Florez, and his passenger, 20-year-old Mariah Ochoa, sustained moderate injuries.

Additionally, King sustained moderate injuries.

Rescuers took the three patients were taken to UMC.

Investigators determined Florez was traveling behind King when they collided in the left hand lanes of the highway. The motorcycles then slid down the road before they rested.

Officers are still investigating this collision.
