COPPERAS COVE, TX (August 11, 2026) – Sunday, a teenager died in a brutal motorcycle crash on FM 3046 and US Highway 190.

The incident involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle happened at the intersection of FM-3046 and the U.S. Highway 190 bypass at approximately 8:32 p.m.

According to police, a 16-year-old motorcyclist died after suffering severe injuries in a crash.

When authorities arrived, officers found the teenager with life-threatening injuries and immediately began lifesaving measures. Copperas Cove EMS personnel later arrived, but despite continued efforts, the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the passenger vehicle involved and several witnesses remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. The roadway was temporarily closed while members of the department’s Criminal Investigation Division documented and processed the scene. It has since reopened.

The motorcyclist’s identity has not been released because he was a juvenile. The investigation remains active.
