Authorities say that the off-road accident happened near the Arizona Canal at 47th Avenue and Cholla Street, just south of Cactus Road.

Reports say that 2 teenagers suffered life-threatening injuries after their off-road vehicle crashed through a fence and fell into a dry canal.

Authorities say that their vehicle, a Razor, plowed through the canal’s fencing before plummeting 30 feet below. Video footage shows the vehicle overturned, with its top cage crushed from the impact.

Firefighters confirmed that both teens are fighting for their lives. A portion of the canal’s fencing also fell into the dry canal. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash.
