Passenger Teresa Dye Killed In Solo-Car Crash on SR-12 [Grays Harbor County, WA]

Grays Harbor County, WA (May 16, 2025) – 55-year-old Teresa Dye was killed while a 57-year-old man was hurt after a solo-car crash on SR-12.

According to authorities, the deadly accident happened around 9 p.m. on State Route 12 at milepost 34 near Oakville.

Reports ay that the tragic single-vehicle crash claimed the life of a 55-year-old Rochester woman and left a 57-year-old man hospitalized on Tuesday evening.

Authorities say that the accident happened when the driver lost control while heading east, causing the vehicle to veer off the road, strike a rock wall, and come to rest on the westbound right shoulder.

Emergency responders transported both occupants to separate hospitals. Dye, the passenger, succumbed to her injuries at Tacoma General Hospital, while the male driver received medical care at Summit Pacific Medical Center in Elma.

Authorities confirmed that no other vehicles or individuals were involved, and drugs or alcohol were not considered factors in the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
