35-Year-Old Teresa Herrera Dies in Interstate 10 Collision [Indio, CA]

Indio, CA (December 25, 2023) – 35-year-old Teresa Herrera of Desert Hot Springs was killed in an Interstate 10 collision.

Investigators said a 27-year-old Palm Springs man lost control of his car and slammed into a concrete barrier.

As a result, Herrera was thrown from the vehicle and was declared deceased at the scene.

Moreover, the driver was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Investigators are investigating but they believe alcohol may have played a role.

The CHP closed the westbound I-10 Jefferson Street on-ramp due to a fatal crash.
