2 Hurt in Madera Car Collision on Pecan Avenue

 
MADERA, CA (August 14, 2019) – A woman and passenger sustained injuries in a DUI car collision on Pecan Avenue on August 8.
 
The Madera Police Department showed bodycam footage of a woman driving against the legal limit before it crashed into a patrol car.
 
The incident happened while authorities conducted a criminal investigation in the 900 block of West Pecan Avenue.
 
According to police, the street closure is active and the patrol car activated its lights. However, Teresa Orta still crashed into the vehicle.
 
The collision led Orta’s car to overturn and left her with injuries.
 
Responders transported Teresa Orta to Madera Community Hospital for treatment. Authorities later booked Orta for felony DUI because her passenger also sustained injuries.
