Portland Man Terrence McTier Involved in Interstate 5 Fatal Accident [Vancouver, WA]

Vancouver, WA (July 2, 2025) – Terrence McTier, 37, of Portland, was involved in an Interstate 5 fatal accident early Tuesday morning.

It was around 1:30 a.m. when the deadly accident happened near Mill Plain Boulevard.

WSP said McTier was traveling south on the freeway when a man ran into the lanes from the right shoulder.

As a result, the Jeep Wrangler driven by McTier struck the pedestrian in the center lane.

McTier stopped and cooperated with the investigation. Police said he was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

Officers confirmed that the pedestrian was killed and no one else was hurt in the accident.

Investigators said drugs and/or alcohol were not involved in the fatal crash.
