Terrill Smith Killed in Violent Head-On Collision on North Trico Road [Tucson, AZ]

Tucson, AZ (August 22, 2023) On Monday evening, 76-year-old Terrill Smith died in a head-on collision on North Trico Road.

According to the PCSD, 60-year-old Karl Amundsen was hurt in the 2-Vehicle Crash near West Silverbell Road, that happened around 8:05 p.m.

Reports say that Amundsen was driving a southbound Dodge Ram pickup that crossed the center of the road and collided head-on with a Hyundai Sonata, driven by Smith.

Officials say that both drivers initially suffered injuries, Smith suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Banner-University Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries and died at the hospital.

Meanwhile, officials say that Amundsen showed signs of impairment at the time of the collision.

Authorities are investigating the fatal 2-vehicle crash.
