Tesla Driver Dies in Hit-and-Run Crash on Victory Boulevard [Lake Balboa, CA]

Lake Balboa, CA (June 3, 2022) – On Saturday, a 35-year-old male Tesla driver sustained fatal injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Victory Boulevard.

It was about 12:30 a.m. when the deadly crash took place near White Oak Avenue.

According to the investigators, a driver of a westbound BMW sedan encountered a Tesla and engaged in speed racing. Apparently, the vehicles were westbound on Victory Boulevard at a high rate of speed.

Unfortunately, the Tesla driver lost control of the vehicle and slammed on a light pole and a tree near the intersection of Victory Boulevard and Encino Avenue.

The BMW driver stopped and did not exit the vehicle. The driver observed the result of the accident and drove westbound on Victory Boulevard.

Moreover, the LAPD paramedics responded to the scene and declared the Tesla driver dead. Officers withheld his identity pending notification of next of kin.

The authorities are searching for the BMW driver for felony hit-and-run. Officers say his car is a 2011 to 2015 BMW M3 or M5 which has been lowered and has a modified exhaust and built-in spoiler.
