Police Investigate Two-Car Crash on 73rd Avenue in Glendale
GLENDALE, AZ (December 24, 2025)— A two-vehicle crash on 73rd Avenue early Wednesday morning in the West Valley sent three people to the hospital and shut down a major section of Camelback Road for several hours.
The crash occurred just before 5 a.m. near 73rd Avenue and Camelback Road, on the border between Glendale and Phoenix.
Emergency crews responded quickly and transported three individuals from one of the vehicles to a nearby hospital. Fortunately, all are expected to recover.
The other driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. At this time, Glendale police do not believe impairment contributed to the crash.
Two heavily damaged vehicles were visible at the scene, and the crash caused Camelback Road to close between 71st and 75th avenues through the morning.
Crews reopened the roadway by midday after clearing the debris and completing the preliminary investigation.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
