Police Investigate Crash on Highway 101 and Highway 1 in Leggett

Leggett, CA (December 18, 2025) – On Thursday afternoon, three individuals sustained injuries in a crash on Highway 101 and Highway 1 when a blue sedan veered off the roadway. 

The incident occurred shortly after 4:00 p.m., according to California Highway Patrol (CHP) dispatch communications.

Emergency responders arrived on scene to find the vehicle off the road, with no lanes blocked. 

The occupants, described as “walking wounded,” had already exited the vehicle without assistance. 

Initial reports requested an air ambulance, but it was later deemed unnecessary. Instead, ground medical resources were deployed to the location.

Two of the three occupants were identified as requiring medical attention and were treated by emergency personnel. 

CHP and other first responders remained on scene to manage the situation and ensure driver safety in the area. 

Authorities urged motorists to proceed with caution while passing through the interchange due to the presence of emergency crews.

An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
