Three Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on North Elk Chattaroy Road [Elk, WA]

Elk, WA (September 15, 2022) – On Wednesday, three people sustained injuries in a two-vehicle crash on North Elk Chattaroy Road.

The authorities say the incident took place in the area of East Nelson Road involving a red Dodge truck with two occupants and a Kia Niro with a solo occupant.

According to the investigators, the truck was eastbound on North Elk Chattaroy Road and was about to turn east on East Nelson Road.

The two juvenile occupants of the truck failed to yield the right of way to a northbound Kia on Elk Chattaroy Road.

The truck occupants incurred severe, possibly life-threatening injuries, says the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office. Officers say they were not wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. LifeFlight airlifted them to a hospital. 

Meanwhile, the male Kia driver sustained minor injuries. He was not transported to the hospital.

Officers are investigating the East Nelson Road collision.
