Parmer County, TX (September 24, 2026) — On Wednesday afternoon, a tragic three-vehicle collision claimed the life of Timothy Holst and left two others injured.

Authorities say that the incident occurred at 2:00 p.m. at the intersection of State Highway 86 and State Highway 214.

Reports say that Shayanne Marie Clover of Garden City, KS, was driving a Ford Expedition east on Highway 86 when she failed to yield at a stop sign. Her SUV struck a southbound tractor-trailer driven by Jose Omar Cano.

The impact pushed Cano’s truck into oncoming traffic, causing a severe collision with a northbound semi-truck.
The second collision caused the southbound trailer to detach and land directly on top of the northbound truck.

The northbound driver, Timothy James Holst of Rowley, Iowa, suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.

Emergency responders rushed Clover to Parmer County Community Hospital with serious injuries, with plans to airlift her to Lubbock. Cano survived the crash with minor injuries. Authorities noted that wet road conditions may have contributed to the wreck.
