Tisiana Gonzales of Yakima Injured in Deadly 2-Vehicle Crash on SR 821 [Kittitas County, WA]

Kittitas County, WA (May 19, 2026) – 19-year-old Tisiana Gonzales of Yakima sustained serious injuries following a deadly 2-vehicle crash on SR 821 Sunday afternoon.

The deadly vehicle crash happened past 5 p.m. south of Ellensburg.

Troopers said a sedan driven by 21-year-old Angel Barragan of Yakima failed to negotiate a curve and collided head-on with an oncoming pickup truck.

Police responded to the scene and declared Barragan deceased, while his only passenger, Gonzales, was flown to Kadlec Medical Center in Richland with serious injuries.

Moreover, the pickup truck’s driver, 50-year-old Forest McCullough of Hoodsport, and his only passenger, 34-year-old Janelle Petersen of Hoodsport, were not hurt in the collision.

WSP said DUI was not a factor in the deadly crash.
