Stockton Crash on Highway 88 Critically Injures Stockton 99 Speedway Owner and Wife
STOCKTON, CA (November 25, 2025) — A devastating head-on crash on Highway 88, just east of Village Drive, has left Tony Noceti, owner of the Stockton 99 Speedway, and his wife, Rowena Noceti, in critical condition.
The crash occurred on Sunday during dense fog conditions and has deeply impacted the Stockton racing and agricultural communities.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), a 72-year-old man from Lafayette attempted an unsafe pass in low-visibility conditions and veered into the Nocetis’ lane, causing a violent head-on crash.
Emergency responders rushed both Tony and Rowena to San Joaquin General Hospital, where they underwent emergency surgeries.
Tony remains on a ventilator and is expected to require additional procedures.
The Noceti family shared updates via the Stockton 99 Speedway’s Facebook page, asking for prayers and privacy during this traumatic time.
Hundreds in the community have responded with overwhelming support — a reflection of the profound influence Tony has had through his revival of local institutions like the Stockton 99 Speedway, San Joaquin County Fairgrounds, and the Asparagus Festival.
CHP has not yet confirmed whether drugs or alcohol were contributing factors in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
