HWY 49 2-Vehicle Crash Results in Fatality

Amador County, CA (August 8, 2025) – A Toyota RAV4 driver was fatally injured following a vehicle crash on Highway 49 Thursday afternoon.

It was around 1 p.m. when a 2-vehicle crash happened south of Highway 16 near Plymouth.

A CHP officer stated that a Mustang left the roadway, overcorrected, and drover into the northbound lanes of Highway 49, where it collided with a Toyota Rav4.

Sadly, the Toyota driver was killed at the crash scene.

Meanwhile, officers are still investigating this deadly collision.
