Tragic Traffic Accident on Encinitas Boulevard Kills 1 [Encinitas, CA]

Child Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Encinitas Boulevard

Encinitas, CA (April 27, 2025) – A tragic traffic accident on Encinitas Boulevard Friday evening claimed the life of a minor.

According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal pedestrian crash happened around 6:50 p.m. near the intersection of Encinitas Boulevard and Village Square Drive.

Reports say that a child died after a vehicle struck them near the intersection.

Authorities confirmed that the minor was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver involved stayed and cooperated with the ongoing investigation. A portion of Encinitas Boulevard was temporarily closed following the crash.

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Traffic Division continues to investigate the incident.
