Authorities say that a 39-year-old man driving a 2016 Mazda 3 northbound turned left onto a Highway 52 on-ramp, cutting in front of the southbound bicycle. The e-bike collided with the Mazda, injuring both teens.

Emergency responders transported the boy to the hospital with a fractured femur, while the girl sustained abrasions. Officials confirmed their injuries were not life-threatening. Police stated that alcohol did not play a role in the crash.
