Brutal Traffic Accident on Highway 405 Kills Pedestrian [Long Beach, CA]

Long Beach, CA (September 27, 2025) – A pedestrian died Thursday night after a brutal traffic accident on Highway 405

According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle struck the victim on the transition road from the northbound 405 Freeway to the northbound 710 Freeway around 9:24 p.m.

Reports say that officers arrived and found the victim on the side of the roadway. The pedestrian, whose identity has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities closed the transition road for about three and a half hours while investigating the circumstances of the crash.
